** APRIL 2009 TOUR CANCELED **
Hey everyone... due to some immediate and very pressing personal issues with one of our band members, we unfortunately have to cancel the upcoming April 2009 New England mini-tour dates, as well as the warm-up show in Bethlehem. As you know, this is the absolute last thing we want to do - the only other times we have canceled dates was when I got Lyme Disease on the road in 2003, and a few dates on the Mike Watt tour right after 9/11; But this is serious and we are left with no choice. We hope to reschedule these dates as soon as we can; and expect some good extensive touring for the Rejoice/Black Castle album release - and of course the Boat Show is going to be one of the most epic nights in SOU history! Please spread the word about the cancellation, so people know. You know we are going to seriously miss playing these shows, but hang tight... we cannot wait to get out there again and rock! Tomato

Basically, we worked out something with all the clubs on the tour where
for every person who attends the shows, with each ticket/door charge includes
a new limited edition cd pressing of the forthcoming Urchin album, "REJOICE",
which won't be available anywhere yet until 2008! We are doing this because
we want to personally spread the new music first to those people who support
us around the country. We know these people are there for the music, and
for the fact that they know we love what we do and will give them 1000%
always. We made REJOICE with them in mind... 16 songs (even a 9 minute
jam!) recorded as if it were a live urchin show, with extended B-ill and
Hag shredding, power, passion and energy - but recorded at the same studio
we did The Diamond at to get the ultimate sound. The album even features
rock legend Ellen Foley (the female voice from Meatloaf's "Bat Out
Of Hell" album and The Clash's "Sandinista!"! PLUS, we're
bringing Liggy's Burlington VT light show on the road for the first time,
so every club can be coverted to the arena rock! So, this tour is gonna
be a special one, make sure you come out and that you let those slacker
friends know that this is the Urchin Tour to make sure yer at!!! Rock
on (said with not even a hint of irony!)!!! Plus there will be 2 special
Urchin/Moistboyz shows in TX, where Tomato and B-ill will join Dickie
Moist and his Austin moistboyz and do a full on Moistboyz set!

This year's Boat Show is going to be a two day event! Friday, August 11th will be the midnight-3am Urchin Boat Show, and then Saturday, August 12th will be an Urchin show (with special guests) at Cha Cha's, right on the Coney Island Boardwalk - and tickets to the Coney Island show include a show ticket, as well as prepaid admission to some of the most spectacular attractions on Coney Island, consisting of, but not limited to the famous Coney Island Sideshow Freakshow, Dunk The Creep, Go Karts and Batting Cages and even some rides, like infamous Cyclone - with many many more attractions to be named at a later date. This is going to be the Urchin event of the year, and possibly the most lost weekend of your life.

THIS FRI (3/24) SOU BETHLEHEM SHOW POSTPONED!! **
We are very sorry, but we are going to have to postpone
this Friday's (3/24) SOU/Insidious Rays/Esme show in Bethlehem PA to a
later date. Unfortunately, Tomato and B-ILL are needed in two places at
the same time... Bethlehem PA at The Funhouse and a Moistboyz show at
the TLA in Philly opening for CKY. We originally thought it was going
to be pretty simple for Tomato and B-ILL to do both shows in the same
night, then tried to think of every way we could do this, but realized
that it was pretty much an impossible feat. So, being that it is much
easier for us to move the Funhouse show to basically any open date, we
are opting to do that. We will have a rescheduled date very soon and post
it here, and we will make sure that show blows the funhouse to pieces!!
Please let anyone know of this change, but make sure you Bethlehemites
still make it to see the Rays and Esme. This is a first in Urchin history,
and we wish we could be able to do double duty for ya, but the SOU leer
jet isn't running well these days. Rock on, and we'll have a reschedule
date for ya real soon!

Hello Urchin fans,
Unfortunately I am the bearer of bad news. Due to a serious illness we
have to cancel the rest of the seven weeks of smell tour. Tomato has been
suffering an illness for the last two months. He has been trying his best
to make it through each show, but he has been getting progressively worse.
He has been trying his best to keep going but at some point he has had
to make the decision that getting better is the most important thing for
him and the band right now - please note that Tomato WILL fully recover.
We apologize to all our fans and hope to make up for the shows we are
canceling whenever Tomato gets well. So don't fret, we all know its just
a matter of time before Urchin takes over the world. We will see all you
guys again soon. Also note that Bargain Music is continuing on to finish
the tour - they rock, are carrying the flag for the urchin, so don't change
yer plans, go see em - find

Hi everyone!! we have been getting a lot of e-mails wondering
when we are gonna be coming back to their town, so we figured we'd post
an update here to let ya know what's been up with us. well, we have been
working like crazy on songs for our new upcoming record, and are looking
at a spring/summer 2003 release right now. so, rather than spend the fall
touring, like we have in the past, we decided to do a bunch of local shows
and concentrate on the record. and once we get the record out, we will
be hittiing the road and doing more touring than we have ever done. so
expect us to be running around the country like mad next year, getting
to all those places we have been to, and then some. so far, we are real
excited about the new songs, and are primed up to make the next urchin
record the kick ass record the world has been looking for!!! rock n' roll

as you can see, this event is gonna make history... it is the first legit
nyc urchin show since march, it is the first moistboyz (mickey from ween
& guy heller) show since '95 and they will be celebrating the release
of their new cd moistboyz III (http://www.moistboyz.com), and instant
death (dave from ween & scotty byrne) will also be celebrating the
release of their new cd (http://myinstantdeath.tripod.com/id_index2.htm)!!!
we have been trying to put together retardopalooza for some time now,
a party/show with no filler, no lame bands, for ALL AGES, and in a venue
that people don't usually see shows at. so, we rented out SHOW WORLD,
the pre-disney 70's times square peep palace, with our own cash, and are
bringing in a kick ass sound system with legendary kirk miller manning
the board. everyone knows show world, right next to port authority, with
the big 25 cent sign, neon marquee, and clowns, they have recently cleaned
up the upstairs and it is a real crazy room, perfect for retardopalooza!!!
fred & big mike will be running the official retardopalooza merchandise
tent at the show (not your typical merch, we promise) and we also have
some surprises in store for the night, so make the drive for this one
and have a blast. and to all the people who don't live near nyc, stay
tuned because we will be hitting your city soon on the road.
